Our Story
How It All Started
In 2023, Jose and Steve hit the trails of Brevard, NC, for an epic mountain biking trip that lit a fire they couldn’t ignore. The thrill of pushing limits, the rush of outdoor adventure—it was everything they craved. But it also sparked a realization: their strength training needed to match the demands of these experiences. It wasn’t just about gym gains; it was about preparing their bodies for real-world challenges.
With over 20 years of experience as physical therapists, they knew how to train smarter, not harder. They created Grit Hybrid Training to bridge the gap between traditional fitness and adventure-ready performance. Whether it’s rucking, mountain biking, or hiking the backcountry, GHT helps you build the strength and stamina you need to thrive outdoors. This isn’t about aesthetics—it’s about being ready for anything.
